Happy Birthday sweet Kass! You are our sunshine & roses daughter...there’s always a sweet smile on your face😊💗 Kassity means happy and clever...& this you are. You walk into the room & brighten everyone’s day😃 We got to watch Kass grow up. Her sweet family is from Blanchard as well. She is our youngest daughter in law/love, married to our youngest son Tucker. As I’ve said before, God has truly blessed us with the most precious daughters, added by marriage to our sons! She & Tucker have been friends since they were in elementary school...
which I think is pretty sweet. I have lots of sweet memories watching these two during Friday night football games playing & cheering. We’ve watched her cheer on our Blanchard Lions & now she cheers us on. All three of our boys played football, so Friday night football tradition was such a big deal in our home. The excitement would build through the week and Friday’s were almost like a holiday....almost Christmas morning excitement....Darren was like a kid in a candy shop. After every home game we would fix waffles for anyone who wanted to stop by and eat, revel in the great win or bemoan the unfortunate loss...win or lose waffles made it all better. Tucker always had a bunch of friends over after the game...not to mention brothers and a new very protective sister aka Megan. Kass and some other friends started showing up for waffles...so we thought. It didn’t take us long to notice how Tuck would light up when she walked in the room. But of course they were “just friends.” She would show up in her cheerleading uniform with the biggest smile and the most infectious laugh. She’s not big as a minute - all five feet of her - but her sweet laughter can quickly fill the room prompting everyone within hearing distance to smile without knowing why. She walked right into our home and hearts during those Friday, post game, waffle feeds. I’ll never forget one of the first times she came over, standing at the counter waiting patiently for her first waffle at the Yarby house and promptly telling me she only takes her waffles with chocolate chips and whipping cream... I didn’t know if my amusement at her request/demand showed clearly on my face until I made eye contact with Megan...a thousand unspoken words in that exchange. A quick glance at Tuck and all was cooled with a wink & smile. Who was this little brown-eyed whipper snapper to tell me she only eats chocolate chips and whipped cream on her waffles? Doesn’t she know that the best way to eat a waffle is with syrup and peanut butter? Apparently she missed the memo during a critical point in her childhood. We all laugh about this first encounter at Kassity’s expense. Sweet times. Sweet memories.
I knew she was a good fit for Tuck even before they started dating. She was active serving at our church, she had gone on mission to Haiti, and later to China and Africa. She has a heart to help those in need and those less fortunate. She’s not afraid to tell us what she’s thinking...like I said...good fit for Tuck. Once again, for this precious young lady we prayed. God is so good, so sweet to add her to our family through Tucker. She will be graduating next summer with a degree in respiratory therapy. For as long as we’ve known her, she wanted to be in the medical field...a servants heart. In the meantime and while going to school, she helps us out and plays a big part at YaYa’s. We are truly blessed to get to work with all of our kiddos! She helps keep us organized and up to date on social media😉 it truly is a team effort.
Kass you are a precious gift to Tuck and to us. We love how you love the Lord. We love how you love Tucker. We love how you love BIG, and always show so much excitement for even the little things in life. We love your cheerful greetings...sunshine and roses... We love you dearly and dearly love to hear you laugh sweet girl! For you we prayed and for you we are thankful. Happy Birthday sweet little ray of sunshine😃
